A ceramic milk carton, opened and ready, right down to the folded spout and the “to open” arrow that nobody in history has successfully followed. Pop a few stems in the top and it’s a bud vase, or leave it on a shelf doing nothing in particular, which it does beautifully. At 12cm it’s small enough for a bedside table and odd enough that people pick it up.
